Yorkshire's Premier Coastal Resort
With its unique twin North and South bays, Scarborough is truly Yorkshire's
premier coastal resort, offering something for all the family.
Both bays have firm, sandy, gently sloping beaches, separated by a rocky headland jutting out into the North Sea, on which stands the magnificent medieval Scarborough Castle.
In South Bay is the harbour, where local fishermen still land their catches, and from where you can take a trip out to sea.
Coastliner route 843 Leeds to Scarborough runs every hour throughout the day on Mondays to Saturdays to Scarborough from Leeds, Tadcaster, York and Malton, reducing only slightly on Sundays.
For North Bay, alight from Coastliner at the end of the route at Peasholm Park. For South Bay, the Harbour, and Town Centre alight at the Rail Station. See the Scarborough map for more details.
