Getting to York
Coastliner drops you by the very heart of the city centre in The Stonebow or Rougier Street, allowing you as much time as you wish to browse and shop. Newgate Market, York's Premier Open Air Market, also opens 7 days a week.
Coastliner runs between Leeds, Tadcaster and York, and between Malton and York, every
30 minutes most of the day on
Mondays to Saturdays, hourly weekday evenings and Sundays, with the last
bus returning from York to Leeds at 21:53 hours and from York to Malton at
23:57 hours everyday.
Journeys run between Scarborough and York (route 843), and Pickering and York (route 840) approximately hourly, and convenient journeys for shopping and visiting run from Bridlington, Filey, and Whitby, so there are journeys to suit everyone.

1. York Minster

4. Clifford's Tower
Clifford's Tower offers marvellous views of the city and surrounding area.
The present Tower was built in the 13th Century by Henry III, but has origins
back to William the Conqueror and his quest to subdue the north.
Uncover a shameful and bloody past, as the Tower has been the site of many
horrific incidents throughout history.

5. Fairfax House

6. Merchant Adventurer's Hall

8. National Railway Museum

9. Yorkshire Museum
Set in the Museum Gardens, the Yorkshire Museum features many archaeological finds from York's past, as far back as the Romans who came in AD71. 10. York Model Railway Museum
York's biggest smallest attraction, a magical world of model railways, with the equivalent of over 25 miles of track. Up to 14 trains running at any one time. (Alight at the Rail Station)
11 .The Bar Wall
Nearly 3 miles in length the medieval city wall encloses the centre of York, broken only by gaps and gateways called Bars. A pathway runs along the inside of the wall giving fine views of the City. (Alight at the Rail Station, Rougier Street, or The Stonebow)
12. The Shambles

River Ouse
