30th September 2007 – Winter Timetable Starts

Our Winter Timetable commences on Sunday 30th September and applies until Saturday 17 May 2008

Timetable

The timetables are similar to those run in winter 2006/7, although adjustments have been made to some journeys to improve reliability.

The frequency of evening journeys from Scarborough is enhanced this winter, in a similar way to summer 2007, with buses running hourly to Leeds.

Please check the timetable carefully for new times of journeys that you normally use.

Route

For the duration of this timetable buses numbered 840 will again serve Lockton village, diverting off the main road between Thornton le Dale and Saltergate.

Fares

No changes have been made to fares. From April 2008 the new English National Concessionary Travel scheme will be introduced.

Castle Howard

Following the success of the shuttle service between Malton and Castle Howard in 2007, we will again provide this service in 2008. The timetable for this service will commence on Sunday 23 March 2008. This service will connect with journeys from Leeds, Tadcaster and York, and with journeys from the coast.

More new buses for Coastliner

To provide much needed additional capacity for our increasing number of customers we placed an order for 10 new double-deck buses, which will be in service before Easter 2008.

These new vehicles will replace our four oldest double-deck vehicles and our six single-deck buses, which will give us the required additional capacity.
